I think Jen is saying we can link from a docs.* page to a blog.* page, such as: http://blog.webplatform.org/tag/doc-sprints/ J ------------------- Julee Burdekin Content Strategist Adobe Web Platform @adobejulee julee@adobe.com From: Eliot Graff <Eliot.Graff@microsoft.com<mailto:Eliot.Graff@microsoft.com>> Date: Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 8:45 PM To: Jen Simmons <jen@jensimmons.com<mailto:jen@jensimmons.com>>, WebPlatform Public List <public-webplatform@w3.org<mailto:public-webplatform@w3.org>> Subject: RE: blog tags (or categories)? Resent-From: WebPlatform Public List <public-webplatform@w3.org<mailto:public-webplatform@w3.org>> Resent-Date: Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 8:46 PM Hi Jen. I think we’re using tags to a certain extent. See http://blog.webplatform.org/tag/doc-sprints/, for example. I’m sure that there are best practices and applications of tagging that we could do better, though. Are you thinking of creating aggregating pages or something like that? Or am I misunderstanding? Thanks, Eliot From: jensimmons@gmail.com<mailto:jensimmons@gmail.com> [mailto:jensimmons@gmail.com] On Behalf Of Jen Simmons Sent: Tuesday, February 4, 2014 5:58 PM To: List WebPlatform public Subject: blog tags (or categories)? I'm thinking it'd be helpful to add tags (or categories) to blog posts, and let WordPress create pages for each of those categories. • upcoming sprints (w/ info on how to attend) • sprint round-ups (summary of what happened after the fact) • Web Platform Wednesdays info • announcements like hey we finished CSS, we are moving on to JS That way we can put links on other pages (like the home page) that say things like: learn more about upcoming sprints, and link directly to a list of blog posts that only talk about upcoming sprints. Thoughts? WordPress can do this easily.
