https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=19174 Summary: The activate/do not register links are too close together, so they are easy to mix up Product: webplatform.org Version: unspecified Platform: Macintosh OS/Version: MacOS X Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: default AssignedTo: public-webplatform-bugs@w3.org ReportedBy: k7glim@gmail.com QAContact: public-webplatform-bugs@w3.org CC: schepers@w3.org, eliotgra@microsoft.com In the email that is sent out to new members of webplatform.org, there is a link that lets you confirm your email and another one that cancels the whole thing. But they are too close together, too similar in length, and too similar in URL structure that it's too easy to click the wrong link... which I almost did. Excerpt from the email: To confirm that this account really does belong to you and activate e-mail features on WebPlatform Docs, open this link in your browser: http://docs.webplatform.org/wiki/Special:ConfirmEmail/b837cc10458ab3b2c3ae098b8644174d If you did not register the account, follow this link to cancel the e-mail address confirmation: http://docs.webplatform.org/wiki/Special:InvalidateEmail/b837cc10458ab3b2c3ae098b8644174d This confirmation code will expire at 19:39, 8 October 2012. -- Configure bugmail: https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
