BTW -- there's a subtle misconception that you can't use "Link:" in HTTP request headers [1], once that issue dissipates the power of relations (client and/or server side) will become clearer. Once the aforementioned clarity is place, the browser appeasement quotient of a functional open identity system simply decreases++.
