The Web Commerce API voting polls closed yesterday with 92% of the vote in favor of adopting the document as a work item. Detailed results of the poll are attached to this email. I failed to include the name field on the poll for the first three people that voted. I know that one of them was Pindar. I don't know who the other two were (Canada and France). If you voted and don't see your name in the results please identify your vote via the mailing list. I checked with the person that voted in favor of not adopting the work and their vote was split. They were in favor of standardizing the payment request and payment response format, but are against making the way that request was initiated browser-only. That is, making it browser-only would be too limiting, which is very good input and is not the purpose of the specification. So, we need to clarify the specification so that others don't walk away with that same false impression. The Web Commerce API is now a work item for this group. We'll update the website to reflect this group decision. -- manu -- Manu Sporny (skype: msporny, twitter: manusporny, G+: +Manu Sporny) Founder/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc. blog: The Worlds First Web Payments Workshop http://www.w3.org/2013/10/payments/
