Two months ago, O'Reilly had asked me to write a series of articles for PayPal's developer site outlining the current state of the art on how the Web is changing the way we deal with money, banking, and finance in general. These articles are a good introduction to new Web-based technologies that are being built right now, some of them in this group. These technologies are aimed at helping us build things like crowdfunding, very fast payments, and micropayments into web browsers. They also cover how to ensure that the resulting services become the first truly open financial network in history: Part 1: The Crisis of Money and Its Metamorphosis https://www.x.com/devzone/articles/crisis-money-and-its-metamorphosis Part 2: How Ripple Networks are Transforming Money https://www.x.com/devzone/articles/how-ripple-networks-are-transforming-money Part 3: How Crypto-Currencies Transform Money https://www.x.com/devzone/articles/how-crypto-currencies-transform-money Part 4: Open Web Payment Standards and the New Economy https://www.x.com/devzone/articles/open-web-payment-standards-and-new-economy Part 5: The Future of Money Is the Web https://www.x.com/devzone/articles/future-money-web -- manu -- Manu Sporny (skype: msporny, twitter: manusporny) Founder/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc. blog: PaySwarm Website for Developers Launched http://digitalbazaar.com/2012/02/22/new-payswarm-alpha/
