Series on the Future of Finance

Two months ago, O'Reilly had asked me to write a series of articles for
PayPal's developer site outlining the current state of the art on how
the Web is changing the way we deal with money, banking, and finance in
general.

These articles are a good introduction to new Web-based technologies
that are being built right now, some of them in this group. These
technologies are aimed at helping us build things like crowdfunding,
very fast payments, and micropayments into web browsers. They also cover
how to ensure that the resulting services become the first truly open
financial network in history:
