Hey folks, We've let a few days pass to make sure that the people that wanted to join the mailing list had the chance to do so. It would be nice to hear from everyone on the mailing list thus far and understand the motivations behind joining the list and what you hope the final output and effect of this group will be in 1-2 years time. My name is Manu Sporny and I'm the founder and CEO of a company called Digital Bazaar. We have been involved in fair, copyright-aware digital distribution and P2P digital payments for over 7 years. We have interests in a variety of areas including P2P networking, the Web Platform, security, cryptography, electronic commerce, banking, crowd-sourced movements, digital distribution, mobile, social web, and making the world a better place through Web technology. Our primary focus is to ensure that the Web has a payment infrastructure that is open and decentralized. I've outlined some of my thoughts here, for those that are interested in learning more about how PaySwarm might affect Automatic Micro-donations, People-powered Politics, and Micro-funding for Start-ups.
