Thanks for opening this issue. W3C is organizing a [Workshop on ECommerce for humans and AI](https://github.com/w3c/strategy/issues/544) in September; I expect we'll have a much better sense of what directions the community would like to take after that event. We'll also need to see how W3C, FIDO, EMVCo, and others collaborate around this topic.
