Good point, @adrianhopebailie. In Chrome, I would like to show an icon in the address bar to indicate when a payment handler is being installed. If the user taps on the icon, they will have an opportunity to allow or deny the installation at that time (as well as during payment). If the user does not tap on the icon, then it's out of the way and does not annoy the user. This is similar to the [diamond icon in gmail](https://img.gadgethacks.com/img/70/04/63540940943228/0/search-gmail-compose-new-emails-straight-from-chromes-address-bar.w1456.jpg) tab that can set it as the default e-mail handler. A webpage can direct the user to act upon that icon as well. Do you think this would be sufficient for your use case?
