Editorially, this sentence might be considered somewhat redundant with the first sentence of the paragraph. The two could be merged, and the first sentence of the paragraph would become: "When the party responsible for a payment method wishes to publish machine-readable information associated with the payment method (such as security information about authorized payment apps), it does so with a URL."
