@ianbjacobs,

If this document is just about understanding the architecture for the Payment Request API, why not put that content into the API spec itself under an "Architecture" section? That seems like a simpler (and better) solution to me. If I want to know how other documents relate to the API spec, I'd like to read that in the API spec, not go to another document.
