IMPORTANT - Revised Vision Task Force SCHEDULE and plan - no meeting on 12 January; first meeting is 26 Jan

Dear Vision Task Force participants (and the whole IG),

Based on several conversations about a draft agenda for upcoming calls of the
Vision Task Force [1] I have:

 * Revised the task force plan [1], and
 * Changed the meeting schedule.

I had announced [2] meetings would take place 12, 19, and 26 January. Instead,
I am canceling 12 and 19 January and the first meeting will take place 26 January.
A proposed revised call agenda may be found in the wiki [3] and the bridge information
for the call at 9am ET on 26 January is:

My apologies for the late notice of this schedule change.

One reason to delay the first call until 26 January is to provide participants with more
time to develop proposals for discussion at the meeting. The agenda of the first call
(and also anticipated 2 calls after that) will be for participants to introduce ideas for new
topics for IG discussion in 2017. Over the course of January and February the task force
will discuss, evaluate, and prioritize these new topics. Task force participants will further
develop the preferred proposals and lead discussion within the broader Interest Group.
My thought is that if the IG meets on 22 March (in Chicago) that this will be a great time
to review the proposals.

I invite task force participants, therefore, to create short presentations (e.g., a small number
of slides) for topics that you would like to see the IG investigate in 2017. Based on previous
similar activities, I suggest that presentations focus on business problems that you think
need to be addressed in order to make payments on the Web a success.

As proposals mature, they will include more information such as benefits for different audiences,
information about relevant activities that may be happening elsewhere, who should be involved
in the discussions, and why W3C is a good venue for these discussions.

I will be happy to work with any of the task force participants on their proposals.
