Thanks for the comments.

Understood, and agreed. And please let me emphasize the importance of the parenthetical suggestion.

I think this will have to be a carefully time-boxed discussion.

Best regards,

We appear currently to be drafting things in google docs (which I can’t reach from inside my corporate firewall), our WPIG wiki, github, plus whatever it was that we started the FPWD of the use case doc in (I think it ended up in github too) plus Adrian just mentioned another tool (“ReSpec”) for the valueweb stuff.

My goal is that there are two starting points to find information:

 * The IG home page:

   That page is designed to be simpler so you have to navigate less to get what you want. But that also means some things are not
   on that page. I recently added, for example, the FPWD of the use cases since that’s something for which we want strong visibility
   right now.

 * The IG’s wiki

   That’s where you should find links to all the things we are (currently) working on, info about the calls, the mailing list, etc.

If that page is not up-to-date, everyone in the group is welcome to edit it, but you can also write me and I’ll do so. I’m a bit behind in doing updates like adding a link to the manifesto, etc.

My expectation has been that we would use the wiki for developing materials until they were mature enough to move into GitHub. There was a request to use Google docs for its annotation features. There are at least three people in the group (Nick, Erik, and Pat) that do not have access to Google docs from their offices. This, in my view, is a serious limitation and one that is so much a barrier that I prefer that we not use Google docs. However, I realize that means sacrificing the annotations feature that people find useful.

So I think this is a good FTF discussion (with comments by email in advance of the meeting also welcome).

In the meantime, if there are important links missing from the group’s wiki, please feel welcome to add them (or ask me to).
