Hi all, Before the holiday break, I promised a more complete example of what a transaction phase-based approach might look like for the payment agent document. Here's a rough cut of that example: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1q_1OA1FPE1L-jkXlvu89RFSJ3FGWeHyw5SUJotfiACk/edit The section to pay attention to is "Phase 3: Payment Instrument Negotiation / Payment Request": https://docs.google.com/document/d/1q_1OA1FPE1L-jkXlvu89RFSJ3FGWeHyw5SUJotfiACk/edit#heading=h.azz2z0d14zgh It starts by providing an overview of the expected flow (via a simple swimlane diagram). It then points to the use cases in the use case document that apply to this particular phase of the transaction flow. The section then points out the specific features of the Payment Agent that come into play in this phase and when they come into play. Then it closes by providing a detailed explanation of the swimlane diagram flow, elaborating on any notable things that happen in the process. Also note the Payment Agent section here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1q_1OA1FPE1L-jkXlvu89RFSJ3FGWeHyw5SUJotfiACk/edit#heading=h.fz60236fv1sw I'd expect that this is where the diagram that Pat has been working on would go. That, or maybe we save that diagram until the end (we may want the beginning of the document to be a gentle introduction with a more high-level block diagram that's representative of Pat's more detailed diagram?). Food for thought for the call tomorrow. -- manu -- Manu Sporny (skype: msporny, twitter: manusporny, G+: +Manu Sporny) Founder/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc. blog: The Marathonic Dawn of Web Payments http://manu.sporny.org/2014/dawn-of-web-payments/
