Hi Web Payments IG, Here’s an idea for helping to prioritize the IG’s work, and for building (part of) the agenda for the October face-to-face meeting: we organize “stakeholder groups” to see whether there are consensus views on stakeholder priorities. Here are the groups that come to mind for me (but feel free to expand): - Merchants - Mobile operators - Banks - Browser makers Here’s a plan for getting written perspectives by Sapporo: * This week: People who are interested developing “priorities” from a stakeholder perspective raise their hands on this list. * Week of 24 August: We organize a 30-minute call with those interested to start the discussion, and in that call we find a champion for that group. The champion continues discussions with the group (which can also happen on this mailing list if people wish) to develop the perspectives. Also, champions can/should create pages in our wiki [1] for notes and consensus points. * Week of 5 September: We hear from each champion on the 5 September call, what the highlights are. We provide feedback, that the champions incorporate into their materials. Each group then continues to flesh out its perspectives as far as it needs in the wiki. * At the face-to-face meeting we hear from each stakeholder group as part of determining next priorities for the IG. David, let’s discuss this at our 24 August call. Thank you, Ian [1] https://www.w3.org/Payments/IG/wiki/Main_Page -- Ian Jacobs <ij@w3.org> http://www.w3.org/People/Jacobs Tel: +1 718 260 9447
