W3C Member review of Web Payments Working Group Charter underway!

Dear Web Payments Interest Group,

Congratulations on your achievement: we have started Member review of the
draft Web Payments Working Group charter [1] that you developed. I have summarized
the situation in a blog post [2].

Nick Telford-Reed is one of the anticipated co-Chairs; many thanks to Nick and
Worldpay for their support!

We are still working on co-Chairs and will keep you and the Membership posted as those
decisions are made.

During the Member review, we have planned two webinars (same agenda at two different
times) focused on informing Advisory Committee Representatives. All Interest Group participants
are invited as well; see the call for review [3] for details or contact me if you don’t have Member
access.

The Member review ends 15 September and, if all goes well, we anticipate launching the group
at the end of September and then holding discussions with them during TPAC.

If you work for a W3C Member, please help ensure your organization is aware of the review
and encourage your Advisory Committee representative to support the charter.

Thank you!

Ian
