Support for Verifiable Claims at W3C

Hello W3C,

My name is Anil John and I manage the Identity Management R&D and Data Privacy R&D Programs for the US Department of Homeland Security's Science & Technology Directorate.

I have read the "Charter in Development" of the W3C Verifiable Claims Working Group @ http://w3c.github.io/webpayments-ig/VCTF/charter/ and, given our needs in this area, are supportive of this work.

While we are currently not a W3C member, please know that we will be actively tracking the progress of this work with the intention of exploring its applicability to meet the needs of the Homeland Security Enterprise.
