Dear W3C I fully support the work of the W3C Verifiable Claims Working Group. I have contributed comments to the charter, to the teleconferences, and have been interviewed as an expert in this area during the foundation work of the group last year. As Professor of Information Systems Security at the University of Kent I have participated in W3C activities for many years as an individual expert (login ID dchadwic) and I will continue to actively participate in the Verifiable Claims group. Indeed, with colleagues we have already developed a prototype version of Verifiable Claims for mobile phones, based on FIDO. Verifiable Claims is a technology that has been needed for many years, and there are untold uses for it. One can regard them as a suitable replacement for today's plastic cards. I am looking forward to the creation of a Verifiable Claims Working Group. Kind regards David
