As you know EMV-cards are more or less standard in the EU. EMV-payments are very secure but still we have client-side fraud. How come? Since you cannot use EMV-cards on-line most EMV-cards are still usable in the CNP (Card Not Present) mode. That is, not until we drop the magstrip and CCV, fraud will go down. The problem is rather what to do during the transition period. Fortunately Apple Pay has set the bar very high so when a standard is ready, the market is probably ready. I'm little bit wondering how do deal with merchants and services who use static credit card information stored in their systems. Anders
