Hi WebML WG participants,

This is a Call for Consensus to publish the Web Neural Network API as a new Candidate Recommendation Snapshot (CRS).

Please review the latest Working Draft [1] that will be used as the basis for this publication and reply to public-webmachinelearning-wg@w3.org by 7 March 2024 if you have any concerns with this publication plan. Silence is considered consent. We will discuss this CfC on our next scheduled teleconference.

Since the first CR Snapshot published 30 March 2023 the WG has gathered further implementation experience and added new operations and data types needed for well-known transformers to support generative AI use cases, and further improved test suite coverage. Please see the status text [2] for an overview of changes.

Further improvements are expected to be reflected in revised Candidate Recommendation Drafts and Snaphot(s).

The WG has maintained public records of the CR readiness [3] and wide review [4] status. Notably, the TAG delta review is currently in flight.
