Hi WebML WG participants, Details for the W3C community’s major event TPAC have been announced: W3C TPAC 2024 takes place in Anaheim, CA, USA at the Hilton Anaheim on 23–27 September 2024. The WebML WG will meet F2F on Monday, 23 September 2024, 09:00–18:00 PDT to kick off the exciting TPAC week. A detailed WG meeting agenda will be announced closer to the event. I'll schedule time from our next telcon to hear from you all on how you’d like to use our F2F time together and start work on our F2F agenda. If this is your first TPAC I want to also share some tips to make sure you make the most of your TPAC experience. The event hotel sells out fast, so please check the Accommodation instructions below as the first thing. In addition to the group meetings, W3C Advisory Committee meeting, W3C breakout sessions, we will hold W3C@30 on Wednesday 25 September, taking the opportunity that the web standards community will be gathered in Anaheim, CA, USA. We will celebrate three decades of W3C and of advances in the Web, demonstrate the incredible impact of w3C standards on the world, imagine the possibilities for the next 30 years of the web and enjoy ourselves during an authentic evening of talks and gala. The below rates include participation for the whole week events, including the W3C@30 anniversary gala for in-person participation (no fee for remote participation). The fees for participant, observer and guest are as follows: In-person participation * Early Bird rate – until 15 July (23:59 UTC): *USD 360* *** * Standard rate – until 31 August (23:59 UTC): *USD 660* * Late/on-site rate – starting 1 September: *USD 850* * Fee Waiver: No Fee (see below for more details) ***Early bird limited to the first 4 persons of a given company Remote participation * Standard rate – until 15 September: *USD 90* *** * Fee Waiver: No Fee (see below for more details) Participation fee waiver For W3C Invited Experts: The TPAC 2024 participation fees will be waived for all W3C Invited Experts. You will not be asked to pay for the fees once you completed the TPAC registration form. For all other TPAC attendees: We understand that not everyone can afford the TPAC registration fee for a variety of reasons and we do not want any of these to be a barrier to participation. For that reason, we make available an unlimited number of fee waivers to remote and onsite participants. The fee waiver operates on a trust basis, without checks on eligibility. If you are planning to participate in person or remotely and cannot afford the registration fee, please contact w3t-tpregister@w.org to benefit from the fee waiver before filling in the registration form. We advise you to book your room as soon as possible to benefit from these rates. The rates include wifi. Breakfast is not included. *Guest room rates: $209 per night, standard king bed or standard 2 queen beds + 15% room tax, 2% tourism improvement district tax and $1.70 tax per night assessment fee. *Deadline*: Please book your room as soon as possible as there will be other conventions in town. The group rate will be available through Saturday *31 August 2024*. After 31 August August 2023, reservations will be accepted on a space-available basis. Regarding the rules: After careful consideration and after reviewing the community feedback and the health situation, masks and daily testing will be left to individual choice. At the same time, the W3C Code of Conduct requires respecting the personal boundaries of all fellow participants, and forbids exposing others to contagious disease.
