Some comments here: "PAC: initial charter rejected. W3C council convened. Recommendation is to ask for permission to submit new charter, because of remarks, including from the TAG. It was considered that it's not enough to just tweak the charter and a new one is needed. We don't know when to expect a response. As soon we we get the response we want to restart the process." https://github.com/solid/specification/pull/619/files Not entirely sure what to make of this, but it appears that the Solid group might need to redo their charter. This does not completely surprise me, as there appeared to be quite a lot of politics going on. We had previously loosely agreed to transition WebID ED 2014 to the Solid WG, where it could become a REC. But I suppose the timeline of that will be changed now. It is perhaps a good idea to track the Solid Charter and progress. Establishment of a timeline would be good. My best guess is that Solid Chater will be delayed to Q2 2024, with REC status 2026/2027. WebID might be included in that, we'll have to wait and see ...
