FYI: hopefully some long awaited UI improvements for client certs coming to browsers ... Please vote this issue up if you'd like to see this happen ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: <chromium@googlecode.com> Date: 9 March 2013 17:42 Subject: Re: Issue 29784 in chromium: User Interface Improvement for Client Certificate Usage To: melvincarvalho@gmail.com Comment #57 on issue 29784 by chris.ely@gmail.com: User Interface Improvement for Client Certificate Usage http://code.google.com/p/**chromium/issues/detail?id=**29784<http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=29784> Blocking on 65545 should be removed. There is no need to validate the client cert on the client side in order to report which client cert was sent to the server. It might be useful to no longer offer already expired client certificates, but that is a separate improvement and should not impede the much needed UI changes proposed by this bug. Users of client certs need 1) to see and indication that the cert was used or not sent 2) the ability to view the full details of that certificate (advanced viewer, bubble, etc.) and 3) a way to change the choice of sending a certificate or not and which certificate to use without requiring the user to exit the browser. -- You received this message because you starred the issue.
