I've blogged about the 5 stars of web identity http://melvincarvalho.com/blog/the-five-stars-of-web-identity/ Where is webid (wrt The WebID protocol / TLS Spec) on the scale? 1. On the web Yes 2. Use URIs Yes 3. Structured data Yes. http for web, webfinger for email etc. You should get 3* if your webid profile is well formed 4. Verified Identity Yes. The spec has presented one method specific to http / TLS / X.509 You should get 4* if you pass the validation test 5. Best practices I give myself a "No" here. Should our WebIDs be under https? Yes! Should we enable CORS? Yes! Perhaps we should find some conditions for the best practices to gain 5 stars. I really like the linked data badges. http://lab.linkeddata.deri.ie/2010/lod-badges/ Maybe we can one day give ourselves 5 stars for WebID :)
