After a recent attempt to get my hands on the ViolaWWW source code (successful, thanks to tflanigan's Ancient Web Browsers archive), I came across a post by the Computer History Museum from some months ago announcing that Pei-Yuan Wei, ViolaWWW's creator and obligatory mention in the early history of the Web, has died. <https://www.linkedin.com/posts/computer-history-museum_we-are-very-sorry-to-hear-that-pei-yuan-activity-7057391732425920512-PIA-/> I'm subscribed to the list and didn't see it mentioned (nor anywhere else at the time of the announcement), so I thought I'd post here belatedly on the basis that it might be informative/beneficial for others who missed the news as well. -- Colby Russell
