Status of

Based on the discussion in https://github.com/w3c/ift-encoder/pull/97 it sounds like the development that has been going on in w3c/ift-encoder is a Google project at this point.

I’m a little miffed at having shared a number of design documents with Garret that Adobe might otherwise have kept private, but caveat particeps I guess.

(Google may take issue with my characterization because the project will (likely) continue to be open source, and they seem to see their funding of, and ultimate control over, these open source projects as entirely benevolent. It may be! Somehow that benevolence always seems to leave CFF support to the last minute, though, assuming it happens at all … )

As the discussion notes, it would be best for Google not to run projects out of the w3c Github org.
