On our last call a question came up about how many bytes the glyf transform in woff2 saves (post brotli compression). I found some data from an analysis done back in 2016, you can see the results here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_ZYTFaG6_NJy7n_t-RpPDXCAZIKDP_1SXiJQz0o8QMg/edit?usp=sharing This looks to have been run against a selection of fonts from the open source Google Fonts collection at the time. That data shows that overall there's a median *reduction of ~14% in the post brotli file size* due to the glyf transform.
