Minutes of today's WG Zoom call and other updates

Hello WG,

As part of the discussion, we decided to cancel the remaining scheduled WG
call this year, and resume the meetings starting January 9, 2024. Don't be
alarmed by an avalanche of meeting cancellation messages generated by the
WG calendar following this email.
