RE: Web Fonts Working Group Revised Charter Approved; Call for Participation

Folks,

Congrats on the good news, and welcome to the new(ish) WebFonts WG. We will most likely see many familiar names and faces by the time the new WG is formed, but since we have a new charter you _do_ need to ask your AC to click the link in the announcement below, and rejoin. Some member companies (Adobe, Apple and Monotype) have done so already (thank you!), other folks would have to gently nag their AC reps to exercise their [link clicking] rights and re-join / re-nominate you as a WG member.

A few questions for the WG to ponder at this time:

  1. Would Wednesdays still be a good day for us to hold the telcons keeping the same schedule we used to have (weekly calls switching between two early / late call times )?
  2. Based on your availability, would it make sense to try and squeeze the first call this year (e.g. next week on the 19th) before we go into the holiday hiatus, or should we just plan to get it all going in early January 2019 (realistically, I guess it would be January 9)?

Congrats once again on the formation of the new WebFonts WG, and Happy Holidays!
Vlad
