Recent Spec Edits

Vlad: asking if people have read final edits, any further
   comments

(there don't seem to be any)

Vlad: Last Call feels close. We should review, particularly all
   normative statements, carefully first.
... by next Wednesday; get cracking [editorial license taken in
   minutes]
... in which case it would potentially go out Tuesday after

Jon: How does this relate to brotli spec?

kuettel: Mark Adler has reviewed spec, produced his own
   implementation

Tl;dr spec will need a few updates, said updates will be made.
Also we'll be following up to see if there are any changes
(beyond removing ambiguities) coming out of review.

Vlad: It's a reference so it's ok if brotli moves at it's own
   pace

(discussion of published spec with normative relations to an
   unpublished spec)

Vlad: It's OK for Last Call
... mpeg should at some point address collections spec; we
should try to participate in the mpeg thread

   Be the spearhead!

   Vlad: How 'bout DSIG?

(discussion of always removal, whether spec is clear enough
   about this, particularly *why*)

Vlad's Joke

   some chuckles

Bottom of Agenda

kuettel: we should try to review target dates on action items.
   dates in the future perhaps.

Vlad: let's go through actions next week (with dates even)
   while readying for Last Call
