On Twitter, Tim Ahrens (Just Another Foundry) reported that WOFF1 gzip compression will sometimes produce a smaller file from a CFF font when the source has not had subroutinisation applied. Has anyone else noted this? What sort of size differences are observed? It would be interesting to perform the same test with WOFF2 compression. JH
