Folks,
Thank you very much for volunteering to join the effort to register a new top-level font media type. Any information we can collect on this subject to substantiate our request would be a huge help. However, one question that absolutely must be answered is what is the advantages of having a separate "font/..." media type tree vs. having this registered as "application/font-..." sub-tree. This question has been asked in the past, I am sure it will be raised again, so we need to be prepared to answer it. Once we have a reasonable answer substantiated by real info - writing the new "font" media type application draft and getting it submitted to IANA for processing would be a relatively simple step, IMO.
Thank you,
Vlad

Hi David,
That timeframe is great for me.

I can't make the call either as i am on another one.
David/Vlad re: your top level font media type draft, I'm happy to work on / think about ways to collect stats on misused & incorrect media types. If that is of benefit to the drafts argument.
Thank you Joe. If the three of us could collaborate on starting a draft of the top-level font media type, that would be fantastic.
Given that Vlad will be attending TPAC next week, shall we target starting the following week (the week of Nov. 20th)?
