Hello WG, This year, the TPAC meeting will be held in Santa Clara CA, the week of Oct.31 - Nov. 4, 2011. The registration for the meeting is now open, and the early bird registration discount is in effect until October 14th. We need to finalize our face-to-face meeting plans and decide whether we are going to have a meeting at ATypI (September 14-18 in Reykjavik) or at W3C TPAC. I am not sure if having F2F meetings in both locations would make sense due to relatively short time interval between them, but it is truly up to us to decide. TPAC meetings offer the opportunity to take a broad view of all the activities conducted by the W3C and communicate with people from various WGs (which is proven to be a great benefit given the results of last year meeting in Lyon), at the same time our meeting at ATypI and participation in the conference would definitely offer an opportunity to advance the art of typography on the web. Please consider these dates (ATypI, Sep.14-18 and TPAC in Oct. 31-Nov.4) and let's discuss our plans and preferences at the next WG telcon.
