I think we have critical mass to have this "informal chat": * Tuesday, Oct 30 * 18:00 (Lyon time) * Room = Rhone 3 * IRC channel = #webevents * Bridget PIN = PIN = 2012 (see <http://www.w3.org/wiki/Webapps/TPAC2012Meeting#Meeting_Logistics>) -Thanks, AB ________________________________________ From: Barstow Art (Nokia-CIC/Boston) Sent: Tuesday, October 23, 2012 10:27 AM To: public-webevents@w3.org; public-pointer-events@w3.org Subject: Re: Is there interest in an informal PointerEvents chat @ TPAC 2012? Hi All, I received sufficient feedback topursue this meeting/gathering. I propose Tuesday Oct 30 @ 18:00 Lyon time zone. This will allow us to use WebApps' meeting room and their teleconference bridge[1]. That time - 10:00 US West coast time - will also facilitate remote IRC and/or teleconference participation for US participants. If this proposed day plus time is problematic, please let me know as soon as possible. -Thanks, AB [1] <http://www.w3.org/wiki/Webapps/TPAC2012Meeting#Meeting_Logistics> On 10/1/12 7:46 AM, ext Arthur Barstow wrote: > Hi All - although the W3C's Director has not made a decision on the > proposed Pointer Events WG, some people (e.g. members of the Web > Events group) have expressed interest in an _informal_ > "chat/gathering/get-together" about Pointer Events during the upcoming > TPAC meeting week [TPAC] (October 29 - November 2; Lyon, FR). > > Some options: meet _after_ the WG meetings end (~17:30+), reserve a > PointerEvents table during one of the lunches, meet during one of the > coffee breaks, etc. > > Another option - if someone wants to take the lead - is to propose and > lead a PointerEvents session during one of the breakout sessions > during Wednesday's Technical Plenary meeting (see [Breakout] for a > list of current session proposals). > > If you are interested in such a meeting, please state your preference > on when to meet. > > (I don't think we will be able to accommodate remote participants but > if we do meet, I'll send a summary and highlights to these lists.) > > -AB > > [TPAC] <http://www.w3.org/2012/10/TPAC/> > [Breakout] <http://www.w3.org/wiki/TPAC2012/SessionIdeas> > > > -------- Original Message -------- > Subject: ACTION-100: Determine the level of interest of an > impromptu PointerEvents gathering @ TPAC 2012 (Web Events Working Group) > Date: Fri, 28 Sep 2012 16:09:02 +0000 > From: ext Web Events Working Group Issue Tracker > <sysbot+tracker@w3.org> > Reply-To: Web Events Working Group <public-webevents@w3.org> > To: <art.barstow@nokia.com> > > > > ACTION-100: Determine the level of interest of an impromptu > PointerEvents gathering @ TPAC 2012 (Web Events Working Group) > > http://www.w3.org/2010/webevents/track/actions/100 > > On: Arthur Barstow > Due: 2012-10-05 > > > > > > >
