During the September 25 call, we agreed to stop work on the Touch Events v2 spec _IF_ the Pointer Events WG is chartered. Assuming that scenario, we also discussed whether or not the Touch Events v2 spec should be published as a Working Group Note [1] and I agreed to start a Call for Consensus (CfC) to publish the WG Note. One reason to publish a Note is to send a clear signal that work on the specification has stopped. If you have any comments or concerns about this CfC, please reply to this e-mail by October 21 at the latest. Positive response is preferred and encouraged and silence will be considered as agreement with the proposal. NOTE: This CfC assumes the Pointer Events WG is chartered and the Web Events WG will stop work on Touch Events v2. If the Pointer Events WG is _not_ chartered, we can of course revisit this CfC. -Thanks, AB [1] http://www.w3.org/2012/09/25-webevents-minutes.html#item03 On 9/25/12 11:27 AM, ext Web Events Working Group Issue Tracker wrote: > ACTION-99: Start a CfC to publish TEv2 as a WG Note (Web Events Working Group) > > http://www.w3.org/2010/webevents/track/actions/99 > > On: Arthur Barstow > Due: 2012-10-02 > > If you do not want to be notified on new action items for this group, please update your settings at: > http://www.w3.org/2010/webevents/track/users/7672#settings >
