Hi All, W3C newcomers may not know the W3C typically has an annual week-long "Technical Plenary and All WG Meeting Week" aka TPAC (see [TPAC-2010] for last years TPAC meeting). The basic idea is for many WGs to meet in a single location to facilitate cross-WG collaboration, to reduce travel costs for those participating in multiple WGs and to use Wednesday's "Technical Plenary" meeting to discuss issues of broad interest to Consortium Members. This year's TPAC week is Oct 31 - Nov 4 TPAC in Santa Clara, CA US and the general format for the week is the same as TPAC 2011: [[ http://www.w3.org/2011/11/TPAC/ Schedule for the week: Group Meetings: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday Plenary Day: Wednesday *There will be a small registration fee of 50 USD per day to defray a portion of the meeting costs.* ]] Although the meeting is months away, the W3C staff has already started to plan the event and they want to know which WGs intend to have f2f meetings that week. Most WGs meet for 2 days that week and since our spec load is relatively light (compared to say the WebApps and CSS WGs) and both Doug and I have other obligations that week, my strawman proposal is to just meet for a half-day or one day max. Here are some options: 1. Thursday Nov 3 - afternoon only 2. Tuesday Nov 1 - morning only 3. Tuesday Nov 1 - whole day If you have any prefernce(s) or comments please send them to the list. My preferences, in priority order are: #1, #2 and #3. -AB [TPAC-2010] http://www.w3.org/2010/11/TPAC/#GroupSchedule
