Hello WebDX Community Group participants, The calendar invites for the WebDX Community Group meetings were scheduled following UTC. In practice, we tend to follow US clocks, so I updated the calendar invites accordingly to follow Eastern Time from now on. The updates seem to have sent two notifications for each meeting. Accepting all of them worked for me. Now, my experience with calendar invites and calendar clients is that updates don't always propagate as you'd like them to. For the avoidance of doubt, you should end up with the following entries in your calendar: W3C WebDX CG - General Meeting : https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/9ee7554c-4762-4cc2-b899-3d2513a52ead/20241107T110000/ W3C WebDX CG - Web features / Baseline : https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/352f8faf-8af7-429b-8cfd-a4ca37258a35/20241114T110000/ Each is scheduled every other week on Thursday (and the other other week for the other meeting...) at: - *8am Pacific, 11am Eastern*. That's the reference time. - That is 4pm Greenwich and 5pm CET, except during hiccup weeks when regions switch times. Thanks, world, for all the fun we get thanks to daylight saving time! - That is 11pm Beijing, midnight Tokyo in summer. And midnight Beijing, 1am Tokyo in winter. - And I'm afraid that's totally unfriendly throughout the year if you're in Australia. The third meeting for which you received an update is the chairs meeting, which is also every other week on Thursday, at 11am CET. This one will follow CET from now on. This seems a good opportunity to remind people that: 1. The group meets regularly, every Thursday in practice alternating between general calls and calls dedicated to web-features/baseline. You're most welcome to join these meetings (including the chairs meeting if you feel like it, although these meetings are more about organizing work and preparing meeting agendas). If you would be willing to join group meetings but cannot due to unfriendly meeting times, please reach out to Patrick and I. We cannot do magic but we can look into scheduling meetings for different timezones if there's interest. Agendas and meeting notes are available at: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ree75ImLZjf60lTZ3BhCaLHygxgywr7SBXp-q0xPs8A/edit 2. The group is super active but not on its mailing-list, except for calendar invites and general announcements. Most discussions take place during meetings and in the issue trackers of the group's repositories, listed under: https://github.com/web-platform-dx/ Participants also raise questions and exchanges ideas on a Matrix channel: https://matrix.to/#/#web-platform-dx:matrix.org François.
