Breakout session on web features and standardization signals tomorrow

Hello WebDX Community Group participants,

As mentioned a couple of weeks ago, with help from Patrick and Kadir, I
proposed a breakout session entitled "Web features, Baseline status, and
standardization signals", which will take place tomorrow 12 March at 2pm
UTC during W3C's Breakouts Day 2024:

Related calendar entry:

That breakout tries to look at integrating web-features into the W3C
standardization process. To makes things more tangible, I started to
explore mapping between Baseline information and spec standardization
status, to compute data on the (mis-)alignment between the
standardization perspective and the developers perspective.

Slides I'm planning to present are at:

... and the resulting code at:
https://github.com/tidoust/web-features-standardization/

The breakout and slides are more targeted at the W3C community at large
than at WebDX CG participants specifically. You're welcome to join the
breakout (all you need is a W3C account). You're also welcome to join
any of the other 19 breakout sessions, for instance the one on Web
security docs for MDN organized by Will. See schedule and relevant links
at:
https://www.w3.org/2024/03/breakouts-day-2024/

I'll report on the exploration and on the breakout during next WebDX CG
meeting in any case.

Thanks,
François
