Dear Advisory Committee Representative, Chairs, Web Cryptography Working Group members, The Web Cryptography Working Group [1] is now closed. The mission of the group was to define a high-level API providing common cryptographic functionality to Web Applications. It published the Web Cryptography API as a Recommendation: https://www.w3.org/TR/WebCryptoAPI/ Further maintenance around the Web Cryptography API is expected to happen under the supervision of the Web Security Interest Group [2]. W3C thanks the group’s Chair, Virginie Galindo (Gemalto), and all the participants in the group for their efforts.
