Dear all, Here is a high level sum up of our last week face 2 face in Mountain View, California for which minutes can be found under http://www.w3.org/2012/07/24-crypto-minutes.html and http://www.w3.org/2012/07/25-crypto-minutes.html. Thanks to all the scribes who helped to engrave our fruitful discussions. First, a little bit of self congratulation : I think that we made a lots of progress, either by clarifying some directions or being able to describe our issues. We have been formalizing a lots of action and issues http://www.w3.org/2012/webcrypto/track/ and this will help us to progress in an efficient way. Thanks to all the participants, this was a great meeting. Thanks to Mozilla, we had the best snack ever in the life of the group ;-) Second, few things about our deliverables/milestones : - Web Crypto API - First Public Working Draft We have been decided that the next version of the Web Crypto API by editors would be published on the 17th of August. We will decide on the Monday 20th of August which deadline we grant us for going to First Public Working Draft. Objective being to publicly draft beginning of September, at worse. We will thus take advantage of our next F2F in Lyon to treat/solve the comments received from the public. - Use cases wiki integration in the Web Crypto API specification We have decided to have a summary of use cases in our FPWD, but the objective is to include the use cases our API addresses in the next version we will submit as FPWG. The objective is to migrate the secondary features in the features covered by our API for the final version of our API - as far as we get consensus. - Compliance We have been decided to start thinking about our testing framework. The real activities related to compliance will start after our Fall F2F in Lyon, nevertheless. It is required by the editors and implementers to give their view about their recommended tools and environment before that date. Third, about our regular call : We will maintain weekly call on Monday during the summer. We keep all call on a one hour basis. Agenda will be driven by the actions we recorded - and not necessarily by the most recent conversations on the mailing list as we used to do. Fourth, short term action plan : The next technical topic we should address are : key object definition, keyquerylist, recommended algorithms, key states. This should be part of the next editors draft baking for the 17th of august. So if you have a view on it, please share. Note : I am still in the process of generating more action and issues on the basis of our discussions. Will inform you when it will be done. Talk to you next Monday. Regards, Virginie Gemalto Chair of the Web Crypto WG
