All -- I have been looking at reference #7 [3] in the agenda [2] -- the steps to transition to CR. Mostly for my benefit, I made a simple checklist of everything involved. You might find it handy, if the definitive specification [3] is too daunting to get the high-level overview. Process Doc 7.4.3: ----- ** All -- Draft IR showing of present and expected implementations as part of CR request. ** All -- Decide and Identify "at risk" features. ** All (decide) -- CR transition announcement must have "minimal duration". ** All (decide) -- CR announcement should contain expected duration. Steps to transition to CR (Ref. #7 in agenda [2]) ----- ** ALL -- vote and minute a resolution to go to CR. ** ALL -- finish DoC and approve it. ** ALL -- consider & answer media-type registration question in [3]. ** LH -- produce draft CR text. ** TM -- review team-only pre-pub requirements. ** ALL -- Decide when to telecon w/ The Director ** ALL -- review/discuss Transition Request "requirements have been met" in [3] ** TM/LH -- Draft the Transition Request for Director/CEO ** LH -- Send transition request to Director/CEO (at least one week before) ** TM -- arrange transition telecon with Director (** Transition telecon / Approval ) ** ALL -- Decide proposed publication schedule. ** LH/TM -- Produce pubrules compliant CR text. ** TM -- Put the text in the right place. (** Namespace URI stuff is moot now, right? Solved in 2.0, unchanged.) ** TM -- negotiate publication date w/ Webmaster. ** LH/TM -- Draft publication request. ** LH/TM -- Send publication request to Webmaster. ** LH/TM -- ensure public comment list exists. [DONE] ** LH/TM -- draft transition announcement. ** TM/LH -- coordinate transition announcement timing w/ Comm Team. (** Comm Team sends CR transition announcement.) ** LH -- forward announcement to webcgm-public list.
