> For the record I am still ideologically in support of defining a way to make WebAuthn available without making JavaScript a hard dependency. I'll be the first to try and lead this charge again in the future when there's better alignment of incentives between all the stakeholders involved in defining and implementing WebAuthn. @MasterKale Is there a thread or something that people can follow then to see the progress on this? Webauthn could be the definitive way to authenticate and make the lives of users easier and more secure, however this could be compromised if JS is a requirement, because many developers will just never implement it for various reasons. This subject is pending so closing this thread might be a mistake. Developers will not ignore this and will keep asking questions. At least when the issue is open we can assume it's not being forgotten. You might get more notifications and messages about this now that the issue is closed. -- GitHub Notification of comment by AadaEa Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/issues/1255#issuecomment-2722948244 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
