sycamoreoak has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/webauthn: == HTML-only webauthn == ## Description Javascript libraries are an insecure mess and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. Many of us do not like using javascript but would like to see stable support for passkeys as an HTML form element or other HTML addition. Can we please swiftly move towards supporting passkeys without javascript? What barriers remain to doing this, and why is this not being adopted more rapidly? Thanks! ## Related Links There is some earlier discussion but with no progress since Dec 2023 (https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/issues/1255) Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/issues/2220 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
