I personally think linking the term `Passkey` to `Discoverable Credential` is artificially limiting and probably a mistake. For example it would be incompatible with how Google currently categorises Passkeys (My non-discoverable yubikey credentials were upgraded from "security key" to "Passkey" in their interface and they work fine for Passwordless auth even though they're not stored as a resident credential). Passkeys are about passwordless authentication to me. Usernameless is nice; but this flow is not widely adopted. Tying it to Discoverable Credentials causes more confusion than needed in my opinion. Is my passkey I have for my Google Account not a Passkey anymore? Why not? It works fine for log in. -- GitHub Notification of comment by arianvp Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/pull/1901#issuecomment-1586089509 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
