@certainlyNotHeisenberg I think you got everyone confused by adding a bunch of use cases that are not related authentication. @Firstyear we only need to sign using ECDSA p256 a small piece of data. The is no verification needed. Also `nonces` are always present, they are required to prevent reply attacks. @equalsJeffH the need is cryptographic signatures, web3 are websites.
