The WebAuthn WG discussed this today 5-May-2021 during our regularly-scheduled meeting. The WG's consensus is that the Web Authentication WG's charter and specification is focused on user authentication for websites and that we are respectfully declining this invitation to expand the WG's scope to include providing "support for general (hardware backed) cryptographic signatures and key exchange". You may wish to explore taking your needs and use cases to more appropriate groups, for example the existing, relevant [Hardware-backed Security Services Community Group](https://www.w3.org/community/hb-secure-services/), whose draft report "[Hardware Based Secure Services features"](https://rawgit.com/w3c/websec/gh-pages/hbss.html) takes a stab at WebCrypto-linked APIs. -- GitHub Notification of comment by equalsJeffH Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/issues/1608#issuecomment-833009489 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
