Yes, it will work correctly if you're using upstream bikeshed, either from `main` or just getting the latest version from `pip`. ...looking over your README, it looks like those instructions are *pretty* out of date - Bikeshed's been installable from `pip` and usable out-of-the-box for over a year now.
