Umesh,

Usage of WebAuthn in RDP is not supported at this moment and we are looking
into it. We will let you know if things changes.

Thanks

Akshay

Dear FIDO Dev Team,

Whenever try to register security key using WebAuthN for 2FA from the
Remote Session (RDP Session), it fails.

An event log entry is created in the Windows event. Details of the Event
Log entry is in the attached file.

To reproduce this issue:

   1. Connect to Windows 10 server over RDP
   2. Launch a Google Chrome latest browser in the RDP session
   3. Open URL https://webauthn.org
   <https://nam06.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fw3c%2Fwebauthn%2Fissues%2Furl&data=02%7C01%7CAkshay.Kumar%40microsoft.com%7C1b1bc2e0cfe2427bd5f508d781f81266%7C72f988bf86f141af91ab2d7cd011db47%7C1%7C0%7C637120774803443193&sdata=zBWRL9QTG1sBffD3C2sBa4rtQndxeA8f3zYbKuUMhH0%3D&reserved=0>
in
the launched browser (Note: The SSL certificate may not be valid for the
site, but you can still continue on the site for the test.)
   4. Register for Test username.

The browser will fail to launch the Windows Security popup for WebAuthn and
Windows event log as mentioned in the issue gets created.

Can you let me know how to fix this issue?
