@Garnac What you're proposing is a much more ambitious vision for a standard web-wide sessions framework, which is way out of scope for the current WebAuthn working group. Even if limited to just emulating the JS API with declarative HTML, a completely new interface won't even be seriously considered by the WG. If we can make it a minimal addition that reuses as much as possible from the JS API, then _maybe_.
