WebAuthn Group, The VCWG specification is currently in CR. The specification is chartered to narrowly focus on a data model for expressing verifiable credentials such as professional licenses, etc. The protocols and processing rules for exchanging the data model documents are expressly out of scope in this charter. We are also explicit that this is not meant to serve as an authentication framework. The explainer [1] provides an overview of our goals and objectives. One of your chairs, Tony Nadalin, has been very active in the review of our current data model specification [2]. He has opened over 20 issues, many of which have resulted in updates to our spec text as we are working through them. As a result of his engagement, we’d like to remind the WedAuthn community that they have the opportunity to provide feedback during CR as well. Like all W3C working groups, we have a limited CR period, so now is the time. Please review as quickly as possible, so we have time to consider community feedback and meet our W3C schedule milestones.
