Dear members of the Web Authentication Working Group, I'm relaying the announcement to the Group's primarily public mailing list, to notify the group of its charter extension. Best regards, Xueyuan -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Web Authentication Working Group Charter Extended Date: Wed, 9 Aug 2017 21:36:53 +0800 From: Xueyuan <xueyuan@w3.org> To: w3c-ac-members@w3.org CC: chairs@w3.org Dear Advisory Committee Representative, Chairs, The Web Authentication Working Group [1] Charter [2] is hereby extended until 31 October 2017. While the group had made good progress on its Web Authentication API [3], their current expectation is that they will need more time than currently alloted in their charter to finalize it. A new charter will be submitted to the AC shortly with an updated timeline. This charter extension covers the time needed to get that new charter reviewed and approved. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact Samuel Weiler <weiler@w3.org>, Web Authentication WG Staff Contact. This extension follows section 5.2.5 of the W3C Process Document: https://www.w3.org/2017/Process-20170301/#charter-extension Thank you, For Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director, Philippe Le Hégaret, Project Management Lead, Samuel Weiler, Web Authentication WG Staff Contact; Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications [1] https://www.w3.org/Webauthn/ [2] https://www.w3.org/2017/03/web-authentication-charter.html [3] https://www.w3.org/TR/webauthn/
